§ 8-19A-12. Identification of seller, cancellation rights, and oral disclosures required
(a)
Within the first 30 seconds of a telephone call, a commercial telephone seller or salesperson shall
identify himself or herself by stating his or her true name, the company on whose behalf the solicitation is
being made, and the consumer goods or services being sold.
(b)
If a sale or an agreement to purchase is completed, the commercial telephone seller shall inform the
purchaser of his or her cancellation rights as provided in this chapter, state the license number issued by
the division for both the commercial telephone seller and the salesperson, and give the street address of the
commercial telephone seller.
(c)
All oral disclosures required by this section shall be made in a clear and intelligible manner.
