§ 17511.8. Prohibition against solicitation of purchases on behalf of unregistered seller; Violation as
misdemeanor
No salesperson shall solicit prospective purchasers on behalf of a telephonic seller who is not currently
registered with the department pursuant to this article. Any salesperson who violates this section is guilty
of a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than six months, by a fine not
exceeding two thousand five hundred dollars ($ 2,500), or by both that fine and imprisonment.
