CF 100 Definitions.
Except as may be otherwise provided herein, and unless the context otherwise requires,
the following definitions shall apply to all consumer fraud rules and regulations
promulgated in accordance with 9 V.S.A. Section 2453(c):
(1)
"Consumer"
means consumer as defined in Chapter 63 of Title 9 of the Vermont Statutes Annotated.
(2)
"Goods"
means goods as defined in Chapter 63 of Title 9 of the Vermont Statutes Annotated.
(3)
"Person"
includes individuals, partnerships, corporations, associations, and all other
legal entities.
(4)
"Seller"
means seller as defined in Chapter 63 of Title 9 of the Vermont Statutes Annotated.
(5)
"Services"
means services as defined in Chapter 63 of Title 9 of the Vermont Statutes Annotated.
(6)
"Solicit"
means to attempt to persuade a consumer, either in person, or through employees,
agents, or independent contractors, or through any advertising medium, to purchase
goods or services.
(7)
"Solicitor"
means those persons who solicit consumers to purchase goods or services and
who have an economic interest in having the consumer purchase such goods or
services.
